Lake George NY Rookie Looking for terminiology

Crash and burn rookie using a SIM and Blade MQX to learn basics of flying. Have spent a lot of time fishing my MQX out of trees
up here in the Adirondacks but I'm making progress and it's not costing me too much in repairs at this stage. Looking to educate myself
about moving up to the next level and looking for suggestions for a relatively basic DYS. Also wondering if there is a glossary out there
with explanations of some of the basic terminology all you experienced experts are tossing around.
Lastly (for the moment), do you need a graduate degree in electrical engineering to build out one of these things. I can follow instructions
and use a soldering iron but but background is in woodworking and I haven't seen any plywood copters thus far.
Thanks

Your on the right track. Using the SIM and Blade MQX is smart try flying in an inclosed area, garage, den, living room, NOT while the wife is home. I found some of the terminology by searching on Bing/Google, some you just figure out. Enter the letters in the search engine and Bingo! I don't know if you'll find them all. Some have multiple meanings, ie: AMA. No degree necessary to build one of these just some common sense and a willingness to learn. Don't get frustrated. There are some help sites on YouTube.com. You'll find someone to help on this site and on RC Groups.com. If you check out the Blogs for your subject title you might find someone whom has probably asked the question. Good luck, Woodchuck!
