KK Flight Controller KK 2.0 commincting with flash tool problem

Hi all ,, I am new to the KK 2.0 board and have been trying to just communicate with it for the last 2 weeks ... I have read every manual I can find and watched a ton of videos and still have no glory with her . I am using this flash tool : http://9xrprogrammer.com/index.php/shop/35-programming-6-pin and have the correct driver loaded . But it keeps giving me this error ::

avrdude.exe: error: programm enable: target doesn't answer. 1
avrdude.exe: initialization failed, rc=-1
Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
this check.

avrdude.exe done. Thank you.

I have been in contact with the flash tool seller and he says there is usually no problem with the hardware .... could I maybe have a bad KK board that is making it not communicate ??? or maybe the wrong flash tool for the board ??? I notice that when the cable gets moved around that the usb connect to the computer tone will keep sounding off now and then ... like a loose connection ... I have tried all 3 of the usb ports on my computer ... and am at a standstill as what to do . Buy a new KK board and a new flash tool to try it all over ???? only to find out I have done something wrong in hook up >>> Help Thanks Larry

I had problems with mine too. I watched this 'Flight Test' video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgdMEqWRGWY&feature=player_embedded and instlled my Flash tool just like Josh Bixler explained. I also had to upgrade my Java to a 64-bit Java Run Time Environment: https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp.

Follow Bixler's directions on loading and runnning and it should work for you.

Oh, also make sure the 6-pin plug is on correctly. I have the same programming tool and the wires coming off the 6-pin plug where you connect to your FC board will shoot off to the left, not to the right like with the HK programming tool.

Give that a try.

Good luck!

Thanks for the help .... it ended up that the flash tool guy sent me a new one to try out and it was the same ... But while waiting for the new flash tool ,, I ordered a new KK 2.1 board and it acted the same with the old flash tool ,,, but flashed with the new tool ... So I had both a bad board and flash tool ... Just my luck .
Luckily both replace them for free :)
