JR Ninja X? Looks like a Variable Pitch HL Quad?

Hey guys, found this on the interwebz today. Not much information except what can be made out in the pics.

Looks like a 1 motor driving 4 variable pitch blades... Kind of interesting!

Wow, interesting. Hmmm. Nylon gears for energy transfer to a shaft. Me thinks there are multiple possible failure points one would not find in your ordinary MR. Just sayin.

If you have ever seen one of the Pro 3D Heli pilots beat on a 800 size Heli, those gears can really take abuse. But I agree it is a failure point. But if there are any math wiz's on line, if you remove 3 ESC's and 3 Motors, but add the gears, which is more prone to failure? IE, do electrical or mechanical failures happen more often?!

I would hazard a guess that it would be some form of variable/independent control of a least two of the four arms. How? I give up...anyone else?

If propellers have different angle of attack they produce different torque on the frame -> yaw.

I've read that controlling the "yaw" was the big hurtle for Curtis Youngblood's "Stingray", but they seem to have figured it out. Those pics of the nylon gears reminded me of an old Kyosho "nexus" I have hanging in my barn.
