fwiw, that's a busy corridor for aircraft flying VFR (visual flight rules, no radio contact with ATC required) that are trying to transit/avoid New York's airspace on the North side. Westchester County is just North of that corridor which is where this happened.

I'd have to look at a VFR sectional chart to double check my facts but I'm pretty sure that that is the airspace where this occurred.

Yeah it is. I was crossing Carmel in IMC years ago and looked down into the canopy of a T-34 with a guy wearing a blue baseball cap looking up at me.

It just bugs be that the FAA's attitude toward drone regulation is so heavy yet they still can't keep the day to day under control.
