Issues with Cinestar 8 HL and WKM

Hey Guys,

I've read through nearly all of the C6, C8 and C misc forums to see if my question has already been answered somewhere without luck.

These threads were most relevant, but don't seem to solve my problems.

i have found these threads on FF Forums, I am working through the MRF's after being referred to here a few minutes ago.

I am having the same problem where my C8 immediately leans over to booms 1 and 2 when I attempt to take off.

I have AXi 4120/20's w/ xoar 15x5 props. I've triple checked the rotation of all motors now and have 1, 3, 5, 7 spinning counter clock, 2, 4, 6, 8 spinning clockwise. All motors/props are definitely pushing air downwards. The # 2 motor is to the left of number 1 as per the diagram in the WM Assistant Application.

I have a FF motor control being used with the WKM flight controller. The compass is mounted on the #1 boom and the IMU just off centre facing to the left. Both have their offset information plugged into the WK software.

One very strange thing (to me anyway) is that in order to get the proper rotation on the motors I have had to reverse my + and - for every single motor when the motor into the motor control.

For operating the copter I have a MX-20 with a GR-16 PPM.

Thanks for any help that you can offer!

Please note that your hotlinks to freeflysystems forum are not working.... Please resend if possible. Which power distribution board and ESCs are you using? I assume freeflysystems......

Mike do you CW props on the CW motors and CCW props on the CCW motors? If they are on the wrong motors you will still get air flow downwards, just not the right amounts. You can tell by looking at the pitch on the props. And Xoar labels their props with their logo. The thick part of the blade is towards the direction of spin. If you set the blades on a table with the Xoar logo up, if the logo is correctly readable and it is on the right side of the blade it is a CCW, on the left side it is a CW.

Might be that you have the motors correct but not the blades. Hope this helps.

Mike and all.....Here is another forum that does a good job comparing MikroKopter with DJI WKM on the Cinestar 8 HL etc. http://www.mikrokopter.us/wookong-heros/wookong-m-on-cinestar-frame/
