Hi there. I'm having some trouble with my motor-esc combo. My motors are 18pole Sunnysky kv320 v4014-12 and my ESC's are hobbywing 40a platinum series which only support up to 12 poles. People suggest me to buy new cheap esc's and flash them with SimonK. Is it possible to flash my remaining hobbywing40A's with SimonK? Couldn't find any info about people flashing my type of ESC's hope you can help me . Thx.

Kemmy

This is the ESC I want to flash

Can't answer your question directly, but when I was in the game of flashing an ESC with SimonK, I realized it's too much hassle....rather get a pre-flashed ESC (there are a lot of them in the market)

Here is a list of flash-able ESC's:

....and here are some links about the procedure:

Hi again. Thx for the reply.Yesterday I met a guy who builds full RC systems , including multirotors. He told me that my hobbywing 40A platinum ESC(he told me its slow and would be good for aircraft or heli only but not for this specific multirotor motor) is no good for my motor (which is a sunnysky kv320) He told me I had to get OPTO ESC's due to its faster signal processing. So if thats true would these ESC's be better you think ?

I'm planning to order them if you think they'll be good enough. My only concern is it says up to 12Poles again on the esc, even with simonK firmware on it. SO I wanted to double check. Thx.
