IOC inaccuracies

I am using IOC more and more but still find it occasionally inconsistent in it's flights. Using Court Lock, it will appear to be on course then the next time I change direction, it does not follow the course. My question is - does the number of satellites make a difference in the accuracy of Court Lock? I always have 6 sometimes 7 ot 8 but rarely 11-12 etc.

More likely compass calibration. GPS holds position, compass does the IOC stuff

I did not know that but am a rookie this year. Is there a way to test the compass before liftoff. I always do a compass reset but with the NAZA mode don't remember the sequence of lights that should appear. Thx for the input

The direcition for course lock is set during the startup procedure. It is only changed when you flip S2 between off and course lock several times. If is is set at say, south and you are going west and turn on course lock, course lock will NOT be west - it will still be south.

I didn't understand this until I read the NAZA manual.
