Immersion 600mw transmitter

Just got my self a immersion 600mw tx it states on pack I will run on 6 s
can I take I feed from the board on my tbs discovery or do I need a small onboard lipo

I'm using one of these http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...d_FPV_Transmitter_Power_Supply_2S_3S_4S_.html and just plug the balance lead from my 4s batteries into it. Other than filtering the flow with that capacitor on the board it is essentially the same thing as tapping into the voltage anywhere I would think. My guess would be yes you can get the volatge off the board where the battery connects into it. You could also use this same board I have with a 2s lipo but it would be extra weight.
