hey guys,
i am looking for information about this new german uav. a friend from germany sent me this pic of a huge quad.
we need a reliable drone that can carry the epic. and not like the octos for only 2 minutes. my source told me that this should be able to carry the epic for over 40 minutes! it has 3 rotor blades and is almost 2 meters long. does anyone know where and when i can get this beast. anyone who has more info about that....?

thanks in advance!

If you find a quad that can reliably carry a red for 40+ minutes, please post about it here. At best I've heard of 15 minute flight times with a MR capable of lifting that payload.

Hard to say what the real size of this thing is. 40 mins with a red don't think thats going to happen with the current lipo technology. Than quad for expensive cam equipment is not a good idea, no reduncany at all. One motor or ESC dead and you will go down for sure !! Microdrones in general doesnt have the reputation to make the most stable platforms for video footage ! Three blade props are also not considered to be the best choice much harder to balance, about efficiency when it comes to multi rotors i can't say anything.

well, we fly the red and similar weights for 15 minutes......thats half of the cap of the 6 cell lipo. if you talk about cheap motors or cheap rotors, i would agree. its all about the precision of the engineering, and the quality of the parts.
