How to program on/off switch on transmitter to activate camera recording

I purchased a FPV camera with recording ability and integrated transmitter (FX787T 5.8G 200mW 40CH AV Transmitter). It has the option to activate the record function remotely. Assuming I solder a wire to the "record control" and run that to an available channel of my X8R Receiver, then assign a switch on my Taranis X9D Plus Transmitter, what parameters do I give the assigned switch for a clean on/off function?

I don't want to record constantly but instead want to activate on demand.

As a guess i would solder two wires one to record control and ground to the spare channel in your X8R Receiver. see what happens
