How can I record amp draw and voltage on a Multirotor Hexa/Octo?

Hey guys, I am about to begin testing some Axi and Avroto motors with diffrent prop combination on my F550. I want to monitor the Amps and such, so I can determine the best set up. What would be the best way to record the Amp draw and voltage etc. I was looking at the Turnigy Watt meters, but most are 130a max. If each motor is rated to 25amps, wouldnt that watt meter not handle 6/8 motors? Should I get the Eagletree E-Logger that is rated at 150amps? Would that be sufficient? I know Robert at DJI USA tried an E logger on his Skyjib, and the E logger melted in flight reslting in bad crash. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks, Patrick

I use the 150A Eagletree system on my X8 and have easily pulled over 100A during recovery from a fast descent fully loaded. The eagle tree is nice too because it logs the data according to your specifications and you can then view and replay the flight giving you an idea of what is going on. Especially when you have video of the flight to view too.

You can't go wrong with the Eagletree.

Does this version come with something other than deans connectors? Thought they were only good for 60amps continuous current.

You can buy it with no connectors, just wire leads. The 100amp+ reading was not continuous as it was just when full throttle was hit during a descent recovery, normally hovers around 35amp. I know they are rated only to 75amp bursts but there are lots of different forum posts where folks are far surpassing 100amp bursts. I also have a temp. sensor with my eagletree and used to move it around a lot to see if anything was getting too hot, including the battery wires and such. Never found anything getting unacceptably hot or even uncomfortably warm.

Thanks for the Replys guys. I will go with the Eagletree. I have the OSD Pro and Elogger in my Easy Star and love it. I was just worried 150 amps would not be enough to handle a hexa or octo. Ill give it a try. Thanks again.
