Not only am I new to this forum I am so new to Multirotors that I haven't finished my Hex-Copter yet.
Just out looking for ideas and thought I would stop by and visit a while. Got a question though... "What's the best between the 9 channel Radios Futuba, Hitec, Spektrum, Graupner or the new Tactic?" been out of RC for a few years and wow have things changed. Last radio was a Hitec 7 for a Heli what is the best for a Multi?

T.E. first of all welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!

As to your question, it's impossible to say which is best. Modern radios are all good! the lower cost Taranis is very popular since it's so flexible in what you can do with it but there's a learning curve. Other low cost options like the Tactic are also perfectly good but with fewer features and less flexibility. The big name brands are all awesome and work well. Futaba is better suited for DJI and the SBUS system in general is widely accepted by the more popular flight controllers.

JR still works great (I've got a 9503 that has been utterly reliable since day 1) and Hitec's Aurora 9X is great.

Jeti is up on the top shelf but i've never tried one so can't say much more than wow at how nice they look.

Welcome and welcome some more!

Thanks for the welcome and input on the radios I looked up the Jeti it was new to me and it pulled a double WOW What a radio and What a price... I am leaning toward either a Hitec Aurora or a Spektrum DX9 it is so hard to decide.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
if you decide to go with a radio from the big 3 (futaba, jr, hitec) i'd probably go with the 10 channel Futaba T10J, the compatibility of SBUS with many flight controllers plus the built in telemetry makes it a better choice for multi-rotor helicopters.

i tried to adapt my Aurora 9 to my helicopters and had limited success. my JR radio is great with Mikrokopter but most controllers take an SBUS input stream which the other radios can't offer.

If I had to buy a radio today I'd still probably buy my JR9503 but I'm a big Mikrokopter user. If I were flying DJI, 3D Robotics, or any of the other flight control systems I'd go with Futaba.

Hitec is in my planes at this point but not my heli's.
