Hoverfly HFP Futaba & Altitude Hold

I'm having a senior moment here. Did this a while back and can't remember what I did. Alt Hold needs tuning.
I have the Futaba T8fg and HFP flight controller.
Have alti hold is set on my SD switch which is my channel 5.

Instruction from HF is to set leveling first. Then do the following for alt hold....

Procedure
1. Use the setup client to verify your Altitude Hold switch is functioning correctly. Also verify that you can change the Altitude Hold gain.
2. Start with the altitude hold gain set to a low value (25% is a good starting point).
3. Enable Altitude Hold while flying
4. Increase the gain until you see oscillations in your altitude.
5. Reduce the gain until the oscillations are gone.

question 1.
Step 1. Switch is working. yes, Change the Altitude Hold gain... Is that on my end points for channel 5 ?

Quesiton 2. How do I increase the gain for this while flying?

I'm guessing I'm having a brain freeze, but either way, I'm in need of advice right now.

Thanks...

i don't think the hoverfly PRO has altitude hold gains anymore.

Talked to Ben at HF and he directed me to the altitude hold and level tech docs.... on their web site..

He mentioned something about a 10 ft radius and a few feet less on alt hold.......

Here is the release note for 4.8... It wasn't easy to find on their site. I googled hoverflytech release notes.
I have copied the relevant paragraphs below.

6. There is no gain adjustment for Altitude Hold. You can return your switch values to their default settings. The Altitude Hold feature no longer needs to be tuned.

How it works:

Rate of climb Altitude Slew. Once Altitude Hold (AH) is engaged in flight the throttle stick function changes to rate of climb. Near center stick, with a dead-band from 40% to 60%, the rate of climb is 0 and the current altitude is maintained. From 40% to 0%, the craft descends at a variable rate proportional to the throttle stick up to -10ft/sec at 0%. From 60% to 100% the craft ascends at a variable rate proportional to the throttle stick up to +10ft/sec at 100%. Returning the stick to the center dead-band causes the craft to maintain current altitude.

I mainly fly 2 different weights. 10.5 and 12 lbs. I'm happy with manual flying with my gains set the way they are.
However, the other day, I accidentally hit my altitude hold switch and my x8 started going to the left.
Must be something else, but I guess I'd better go tune my gains for each weight.
Maybe this is something new with latest release, because altitude hold and level worked on my 2 switches......

Thanks for the heads up....
