First let me introduce myself:
My name is Axel, I live in Panama (not in Florida the Panama with a canal), but I'm originally from Venezuela (I'm saying this mostly so you don't mind my english mistakes)
My background:
Studied Computer engineering for 3 years until I realized I liked more business and changed, still love computers. I started with my R/C hobby with nitro cars when I was 11 years old so now I have around 17 years in the R/C hobby, but all of them with nitro engines and mostly cars, had a plane, had an heli, had some cars with electric motors, but nothing as complex as a multirotor (electronically)
So I have some idea, yet I'm a complete beginner.
My budget:
I'm willing to spend up to $1500 I'm willing to go RTF or a kit if you guys help me piece it together, maybe a tad more if its worth it.
My goals:
They are not very high, one of my several hobbies is photography and have a nice equipment yet I know for a multi to lift my equipment I need $10000 to do it right, I'm more interested in lifting a gopro and a sony nex or any micro 3/4 you guys use, the use would be filming my "collection" of sportish cars while driving in nice places (I have a boss 302, subaru brz and soon a westfield s2000) so having a nice AP would help achieve my goal, and some flight time 15-20 min would do wonders.
So my search for ARF or RTF kits are:
DJI F550
DJI F450
3DR Iris +
I also have seen some tarot frames
I'm new to this, but the pixhawk seems like the kind of AP I want specially with the follow function and easy waypoints, I know there are some glitches and it won't work nicely all the time, yet I like what I'm seeing from pixhawk, unless you guys believe Naza or other is the answer for my needs.
What is the platform you would've choose if you had all the knowledge and info you guys now have for your first time? keeping in mind I don't need to do tricks with my multi rotors, maybe some speed would be nice, but when I drive in the mountain is hard to go over 70km/h and I belive this things can go that fast.
Thanks in advance
Axel
