Hey all,

Completely new to the forum and flying.

I've been looking at getting a quadcopter for about a week. I got paid today and decided I was going finally get one.. got an extra battery and dropped around 300$. I picked up the Dromida Ominus cause thats about all the hobby shop had. I got home and flew it around the apartment with no problems. I then took it outside and crashed it on my neighbours roof. no problem. they had a patio that I can get it from so I put the controller in my hoodie pocket and jumped their patio and grabbed it. in the process I broke off both joy sticks on the controller. I was upset but figured I'll just glue them back on. I brought it back inside and the other battery was charged, so I put it in and nothing happened. the lights come on but they don't blink like they did when I first flew it. it seems like the controller and the ominus are not pairing. I am worried I damaged the controller more then I thought. the controller still makes noise when I press the buttons but nothing happens with the copter. I have tried to find a solution online but haven't had any luck. anyone else experience this or have any solutions?

Thanks for any help.

My first destructive crash broke off the left rear motor pod. The other 3 were still functioning so I managed to hop it down off the roof. I haven't had it back in the air as replacement parts just arrived. Hopefully I'll have time to take it up in the next few days.

Yours does sound like either the TX or RX was damaged though I'm by no means an expert on the matter. Both ends use a simple wire for an antenna. Nothing special. Did your TX hit the ground or did you just snag both sticks on something?
