I'm new to Multi rotors,but have been a RC hobbyist for 30 years. I have built, flown, and driven many models. I'm into the dozens of planes, and boats and have had many cars. I've never had a helicopter or multi-rotor. I have been researching them for about a year. I've decided to build my own frame from scratch. Not because it's easy or cheap but that's one of the most rewarding parts of the modeling hobby. I have designed up a simple frame and started building parts. Lots of parts with lots of spare parts. I'm building enough parts for 2 1/2 models in hopes the parts supply will last a little while before having to make more. 
I have access to the machine shop at work which I have been busy in, lately.
I hope I can make a flying Quadcopter soon!
