I am a newbie who is going to start work on my new quadcopter build. I am still awaiting my last few items to ship to me from China. I am doing the project with my 9 year old son. I am sure we will have a lot of fun building it, flying it, crashing it and fixing it.

Welcome aboard Radcolt... Good luck with your project. Being impatient, I just went ahead and bought a Phantom 2 Vision cuz I'm, well, impatient. Maybe one day I'll follow your lead and try building one from scratch. Oh, and try to eliminate the "crashing" part if you can help it. Ha! :)
