Hello from Riga, Latvia.

I started to fly with RC plane in 2011 and this summer I built my hexa based on F550 + Naza (GPS), custom arm extensions for my 11" Graupner props,Tiger motor MT2814/770KV, esc Maytech 30amp, 4s 6000 lipo.
Currently I'm waiting to arrive my S800 with WKM. This hobby started for me because wanted to shoot pics in places where i cant fly with my UL aircraft. Never thought that I would be so obsessed with this hobby :)

Small tip If someone needs to make cheap strong and light landing skids I found very good material bamboo you can buy it in local garden/plant shop or home depot shop.

I had one issue till this day with my hexa it seams to gain height yawing right and now i have one more issue. I changed from spektrum to futaba and my motor idle speed is to high even when I set in naza assistant motor idle speed to low. esc are re calibrated for futaba receiver. Cant find why?

Hi Gvido,

welcome aboard :) I have been living for 2 years in Vilnius, Lithuania, and visited Riga, and the naval construction site, also Trakai Castle in Lithuania very very nice place :))))

For your F550, first you must check in the Futaba that you have the throttle trim at minimum or disable it ( because if you do not set it up correctly, minimum throttle is a bit above zero for gaz engines for example).

Regarding altitude variation when using yaw, it is a normal thing when you don not have any payload, and to minimize it, you need to reduce the yaw authority or maybe the yaw gain. Pitch and Roll compensation rates must always be greater than Yaw rates on a multicopter to reduce this. You can also use a small trick by giving 2° of inclination on your motors to give more natural authority on the yaw but reducing a lot the thrust needed to turn on yaw axis, which will reduce greatly the height variations.

Best regards,

Fabien

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Welcome to the site guys. It blows my mind when I think of all the places that people are surfing the site from. Add Latvia Lithuania to that long list of places people surf the site from.

Good luck with the builds and happy flying!
