I've been into rc cars for a couple of years, a friend has introduced me to multiflyers recently.. i'm hooked & can't wait to get one up & flying myself.
Friend has a dji f550 with 2 go pros, gps kit spektrum DX8 etc, he got it from a guy interstate that builds up the kits.
Haven't brought anything yet, as trying to do as much research as possible.
from what i've read, the rtf kits are that great & most parts will need replacing extra (much like rtr car kits)
So looking at building one from ground up.
looks like there aren't any places locally to source parts etc. What is the best site to get all the parts from?
I want to build it up over a couple of months & do it right. Are the dji f550 frames a good starting point? or can you buy them minus motors,esc props etc?
Any help & advice would be great as i want to spend my money wisely.
