havent built anything stupid for a while............
Vtail quad...with a pusher prop
Pushers have been done before, usually with a switch or slider on the TX....this one is controlled by the CC3D (so wont run when disarmed)
With this one, pitch stick back has the quad pitch back .........pitch stick forward has the quad level, pusher motor running
In the video, was a bit cobbled together, even had the pusher on its own battery as i couldnt be bothered splicing into the frame power.
Very weak setup in the video, the pusher KV is only 1000, on a small 6 by 4 prop, but you get the idea
this design is compromised....tail heavy, and the rear motors are losing maybe 30% thrust as they are blowing into the body, and the pusher prop is drawing air from the same area.......I have had to drop the front motors to about 75% thrust................next step is to go (more) against convention, and move the yaw pair to the front, and face them outwards, that way i can run the flat props at the rear, wide enough so they dont draw air from the same area as the pusher, and move the COG back
