Greetings from Oregon

Just wanted to introduce myself. I work for a Watershed Council in Oregon and am interested in getting into UAV flying. My work brought it up over a month ago and I've been doing research ever since trying to decide what setup to purchase and all that. This forum seems very helpful so I thought I'd sign up and ask a few questions, but mostly read a lot of responses from other posts. I'm mostly going to be interested in taking photography of our restoration projects that we provide funding for every year. There will also in the future be some need for a FLIR camera and possibly looking into fish tracking (pit tags).

I am a beginner and have never flown a UAV, so this will be a very fun/difficult challenge that is set before me.


If anybody is wondering, the current setup that I'm looking into is:

Welcome! There's a lot to learn but if I can do it, you can! You'll have so much fun. That first flight is great! And the first time you see the video from the air you'll be amazed. And everytime after that!
