GotHeli Brushless Gimbal Flyers,
Rusty's Frame Flyers,
I'm rigging up a GotHeli Brushless Gimbal to my Rusty's UAP-2 and wanted a better connection between the two. I had some G10 in the shop and my laser cutting vendor usually turns things around in a day soooo... the photos show it all.
Although not the best way to cut G10, the results are fine after a little clean up with sandpaper and a pin file. The material is a bit thicker than the GotHeli mounting plate so some rounding with a rotary tool may be necessary (see photos). I used a recommended six dampeners in a hexagonal shape that corresponds to the ALGHobbies bolt pattern standard used on their dampened camera mount. The part weighs only 10g more than the original mounting plate and makes for a clean mechanical interface.
I cut all the material I had on hand so I have extras if anyone wants/needs one. I have four to sell at $25.00 + 5.00 S&H each to the CONUS. PM me for PayPal details.
