GoPro 3 & Drift HD Ghost ipad apps

Looking at both GP3 Black & HD Drift Ghost remote view ipad/phone apps and curios if anyone has experience with them on a multirotor? Practical range and image quality? Could you mount your ipad/phone with your TX?

Chris:
Well it least you keep your hands out of the props to change camera settings. Does the wifi interfere with a NAZA GPS? I was hoping to use it for video review so I wouldn't have to buy a LCD viewer for the GP3 but with a range of only a few meters everything about it seems pointless. I checked the Drift Ghost site and they claim a 90 meter range but say nothing about lag. I started the thread you referenced but there wasn't anything in it about IOS apps for either camera. Having watched every comparison video I can find my preference so far is the Drift Ghost but can't find Gimbal mounts for it. The Sony RX100 I have beats both on video quality but is heavier and more money.

Hi Bob...

You shouldn't have any proplems with the Naza GPS and wifi, since it works on 2.4 GhZ like any W-Lan....

Here is two videos about the WiFi lag on GoPro:

....the Drift is in my opinion the "better" camera, but regarding the lag no different than the GoPro or the Contour. You won't be lucky to find a specific Drift gimbal....****, Tom and Harry are all on the GoPro / brushless gimbal band-wagon....your best bet would be to search for a gimbal which is more open to different camera models.
