Gimble Problem

I just finished installing my gimble. When I rock left and right the roll servo arm moves to either side of center depending on which direction I tilt the quad. My pitch is only moving in one direction from center when I tilt the quad forward and backward. I have my gains set to 20 and I haven't programmed my transmitter for manual yet. The pitch Travel Limit on roll and pitch is set to 1000 0 -1000. I am using S Bus so I only have one wire from the Receiver to the MC. I hope I can figure out which channel on my transmitter will manually control the pitch since I'm using S Bus

Any ideas?

Thanks
Rich

I figured out why my pitch servo was not moving in one direction. I had the Center Trim set to 0 and had to move it to 600. Went back to standard bus so I could make the manual pitch work. I'll play with S Bus another time.

I have an X8 setup that uses S.Bus, and I have a slider assigned to control the pitch angle. It works fine. You just need to assign it so that it controls the X3 input on the MC. If you look an Page 11, in the manual, it shows that when using an S.Bus setup, X3 gets assigned to channel 6 on the Futaba radio.

I completely missed that. Got it working fine now. I would like to set up a switch that does Fail Safe (return to home) have you tried that yet.

Thanks

Yes, I do have a failsafe switch. I programmed a two-position switch to be mixed with the Manual/ATTI/GPS 3-position switch. When the two-position is in the "ON" position, it simply adds about 25-30% to the 3-position switch value. Normally, this is set to go from -80% to 0% to +80%. With the mixed switch on, the value changes from -50% to +30% to +120%, all three of which puts the "U" channel into Failsafe mode.

I have it mixed in pretty well. I set up the switch just behind the flight mode switch and I can click in to failsafe when the flight mode switch is in manual or att. It won't do it from GPS mode. Guess I'll have to play with it a bit.

Thanks for the help

Hey Boris....

I got everything working on S Bus.... ON page 11 of the manual it says that on S Bus that channel 7 is the U on the MC and that channel 6 is the X3 on the MC and that channel 5 is the X2 on the MC
