Gemfan CRP VS. ABS

I'm trying to gather a collection of a few (about 5 or 6 different makes/models) props for my minis and test them myself.

I was going through the new items page at hobbyking webstore and realize for the first time that Gemfan sell the exact same propeller in two different materials: CRP and ABS. With my limited knowledge in the polymeric materials area, I understood that CRP is probably "Carbon Reinforced Polymer" in this case Nylon, and ABS is the common thermoplastic that we all know.

Besides the price, I understand ABS is way more brittle and less forgiving when hitting something, it will brake easily. On the other hand, the ABS versions are probably a little lighter than the CRP.

What are your thoughts on this two different gemfan props?

Is it as simple as "ABS is rubbish, go for CRP" and thats it?

Actually.... ABS is more forgiving than carbon mix.... Why over think it?

If you just hoovering, buzzing around slow and want to use different colors tone... go with ABS. If you're planing to race around, fast and furious style... you go with carbon mix. or (HQProp Fiberglass/ABS) Gemfan also have Nylon/Fiberglass now, they are both available on our website. So it depend if you want color or not.
