Frsky External XJT Module - swap as needed - will it work?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to fly my T960 with new gimbal in both 1-man and 2-man configurations. Basically, I need to be able to fly the bird myself, with control over the gimbal using my Taranis X9D Tx, but also do 2-man flights where the camera operator controls the gimbal from a second Taranis X9D Plus.

My idea is to use an external Frsky XJT module to store all the gimbal controls, and simply swap it from one TX to the other as needed.

We are using 2 X8R receivers, one on the copter, and one on the gimbal. I realize I could probably work something out where I do a re-bind of the gimbal receiver every time we switch from 1-man to 2-man flights, but that's a pain, and is confusing. I'd much rather simply swap an external XJT module from one Tx to another.

My question is, Will this even work? And if so, how do I go about setting up the models and mixes? I can't seem to find any setup info on the web regarding this.

Any advice would surely be appreciated!

Thanks.
