This octocopter was built with 2 goals, to lift a 15lb payload (gimbal and camera), and to eliminate vibration. I am selling RTF, everything has been programmed, and it will include a checklist and instructions (I want the buyer to have an easy time using this thing). Also I have a PC trainer that connects to the DX8 witch works great to learn or improve flying skills while not risking an aircraft.
1st goal - I used the Tiger 400kv MT3520 motor the big brother of the popular MT3515 paired with Simonk 40amp esc's. This setup was oversized so there would be no worries about lifting the heavier weight and over heating. Just look at the spec sheet of this motor, its capable of lifting a LOT of weight. The props are the 14x5 PJP-N XOAR's.
2nd goal - The props and motors have been balanced (which gets rid of jello alone, if done right). The vibration isolator uses 8 secraft mounts which use the popular O-ring style mount.
The components are in good to new condition. Also included are spare parts (motor, props....)
The gimbal uses 2 radians for stabilizing but has full 3 axis control for the video operator. Having two 2 people is key to getting great shots!
The frame fits nicely into a trunk of a full size car (pic below is a Grand Prix)
Listed below are the included components!
Asking $8500 and I will split the shipping! USA and Canada (shipped as 2 pieces Octo + gimbal and some smaller boxes) I can post some more pictures if you want, and I am working on a video.
