Flight Times - Just looking to listen

I have my quad, xaircraft frame, wk-m, avroto 2814, apc 11.4.5 props, and 6600mAh thunder power battery. It weighing in at 2380g and, I am currently getting right around 11 and half min before it hits its first battery threshold (10.45V), if I let it go I can get somewhere around 12:15 to 12:30 min before it hits its second self landing threshold.

I pretty happy with it, looking to hear what others are doing and see if I am not doing something that could result to eek out more.

thanks Jack

I was just about to ask the same question so I will tag along here because I want to know what times folks are getting too.

My v.1 MK Octo with no camera gets around 14+ minutes on a 5000mah Vislero pack. When carrying a camera the time reduces in proportion to the weight of the camera. 10-13 minutes carrying a Pentax Optio, 8-10 minutes carrying a Panasonic HDC-SD9 and yesterday it did 12 minutes carrying a NEX-5 (plus HDMI converter) with a 6600mah Vislero.

The Droidworx AD-8 HLE looks reasonable at first with around 11 minutes with a 6600mah pack and an empty MK SLR2 mount, but load it with a Canon 5D and this plummets to 6 minutes. Yesterday I tried it with two 5000 Vislero's and the best it could manage was 7':30". Not as much as I had hoped for. The packs apparently do not discharge at the same rate and the gain in flight time is not proportional to the increased amperage - of course the added weight also leads to a time penalty.

However, I have to try lowering the warning thresholds because I think they are currently too conservative - in the interests of pampering these shockingly expensive Vislero's. Both the Octo and the AD-8 have identical KopterTool settings, other than camera mount end-points, and I believe the low-battery threshold is set at 34 (default being 32). Having obtained a couple of the double buzzer low-voltage devices that Droider told us about, I used them yesterday with the warning set to 13.5v and one of them sounded immediately after lift-off. Not sure how useful they are going to be yet. BTW, after balking at the UK shipping rates I got them on eBay. The total cost including shipping was less than just one WITHOUT shipping in the UK.

If the alarm went off right after take off then its either and ebay special safety feature OR your Batts cant cope with the discharge to get it off the ground!
