F550 stability?

I am wondering if I should change from 10" props & 3s to 8" & 4s to get better stability in windy conditions as its getting bounced around quite a bit.
It's a stock frame motors esc's with a WKM & graupners I am also lifting a GoPro 3d cam hard mounted & 5000mah 3s.
Any one have an opinion on this?

I have had super luck with 8" and 4s 6000mah. Living where I live, wind is most of the time a factor. Real decent flight times as well. X468 and GoPro safely fly 13 minutes all the time. No wkm on this bird it is running NAZA.

You can use 3S but it is more suitable on 4S due to the KV of the motor it will be more efficient on 4S and have alot more power.
