Hi guys,
I'm new to multirotors but long time RC aircraft flier and a fixed wing uav manufacturer..... need some advice please.
Purchased a DJI F450 with Naza M-GPS, assembled up fine and programmed without any problems. First flight in manual mode the machine did a short twitch to the right but quickly corrected and several more flights no problem.
Radio: JR10x, Rx DSM2 orange 6ch, 3S 3000Mah battery, 10x4.5 props
About the 4th flight (low hover only getting the feel) in manual mode the machine did a sudden uncommanded roll to the right and rearward crashing into a small stump, remarkably only a bent prop!
Decided to change Rx to a Spektrum 7 ch (suspecting the new orange Rx) did a rebind, setup the entire system again including GPS calibration/magnetic heading etc. Fitted the spare 8x4.5 props supplied and fitted a 4S 4000mah battery. Flew it GPS-Atti mode for 4 flights with excellent results, very stable and flying great......then disaster struck!
Whilst in a steady hover at around 5 metres altitude and some 3 minutes into the flight the machine again entered an uncommanded violent right/rear roll and again smacked into the garden....UNBELIEVABLY nothing broke!!! except my confidence in the 450.
I suspect the N0 4 motor or ESC or a connection between them may be the problem causing that motor to slow or shut down in flight.
Can anyone help or advise me please? this F450 is just awesum to fly but this fault needs to be fixed before any more flights.
Thanks!
