EzOSD - No bottom line

I purchased an EzOSD about two weeks ago now ... and since it's arrival I haven't been able to obtain the bottom line on the screen. The top line is perfect. I contacted the supplier and they sent me out a replacement current sensor. Plugged that bugger in ... and the same issue. I've updated the firmware successfully, from Immersons website with the font first and the firmware second as it states. I can even go into the configure portion and make changes. I've used multiple batterys to fire everything up (2x) 4S Maxamps 6000mah and (3x) 4S Maxamps 2250mah Lipos) all of which are the same results.

Images below are of the wiring, and the results. Don't mind the sats, as I'm next to the window inside. Not bad though considering.
The battery and video icons on the top are of the GoPro output.

Any ideas what's going wrong here?

i don't have ez, but i've worked with a few of these osd's. On that video tx, you have the positive 5volt feed hooked up as well as the power feed wires. i think your getting a problems form that crossup of wire. the vtx should use that red and black by themselves plug and not the red black in the 5 wire plug..... what brand is all the rest of this gear? just the gopro live feed, no other cams?

You know you can turn off the gopro osd, right?

So remove the black and red from the 5-pin cable between the vtx and osd?
Brand is the Foxtech 5.8ghz 400mw VTX/RX
Yes, just the GoPro live feed, no other cams.

The manual for th vtx is towards the bottom of this link - here
I switched the red and black on the 2-pin cable around (supplied cable from Immerson is wrong for the Foxtech)
Basically matching up the red and black according to the manual and EzOSD
I also moved the ground and power according to this video on the 5-pin cable - here

so what happened after that? the wires crossed is a pretty big deal.... I was right about the power to the vtx,,, use the 2 off by themselves to power it. The red on teh 5 pin adapter is for a camera. i'd bail the audio wires from the whole thing, you wont hear anything anyways unless you want tracking. i take evertything out i'm not using just to make it simpler,l ess chance of noise, etc. use the xacto like the video ti extract all the extra crap......

so what happened after that?

I had that done all the long ... I haven't moved anything around yet, since posting.
I figured hearing the motors while in flight would be useful.

So remove the Red from the 5-pin ... and the black is left to the side for ground.

I'll give it a try in the am.

it transmits weird frequencies your trying to suppress. it's more of a ground thing

I thought in the video the ground is second to side pin?

look at both manuals and line up everything so they match. video in and video out,,, etc yea, that red pin on the 5 pin connector powers a 5 volt cam, you don;t have that. everything else should be right, who knows,,, it might or might not change the bottom line, but it sure helps to have stuff right

Are you sure it doesn't need a sat lock to load the bottom line? have to acquired a sattelite lock yet? it takes a few minutes in the open

yea, I've been able to obtain a sat lock all the long. I removed the red from the 5-pin ... same result. Video with the top line, no bottom. The only difference between the Immerson and foxtech tx are the red and black needs to be switched around on the tx end, for both the 2 and 5-pin cables. Just doesn't make since why it won't fire up the battery info. You would think, that it would fire those up first, and not the top line.

I've been doing some reading over on FPVLab.com and it may actually be the OSD. Considering the second Current Sensor doesn't work, that's the only solution really, as the wiring was and is still all correct.

I confirmed all the wiring correct, so I decided to pack it all up and send it back.
Hopefully they can find something wrong and we'll go from there.

Being a nice day, I decide to go back to just my FPV without the OSD.
Tiddy up all the wires again and get ready to leave.
Go to test it out before I leave ... what do I do?
!!! forget to screw on the antenna !!!

Do those vTx really die on you like that?

I must have had it plugged in for a split second, before I realized I didn't have it on, then hauled the power.

Live n Learn I spose.

sometimes, sometimes not. Go try it. if the reception leaves sooner than expected you'll know it got whacked. keep it los and look down. it usually goes from working miles not screwed up to working feet screwed up

Maybe, but I dare to try at this point. haha
I might go with an Immerson tx and duo rx yet.

Use my two rx that I currently have, and strap a new tx on the wife.
After I tell her I'm getting more gear. I'd like to see that from a distance.
