Evening all, my question tonight stems from not really having enough power leads on the Maytech 65A optos to reach the Power Hungry distro and still be able to mount them securely and neatly. I'm thinking of cutting the shrink wrap off and re-soldering some new leads on. Currently they are 68.5mm+- or 2.5in. I'd like to add 60mm/2.3" to them which would total 127mm/5in. Anyone see a problem with this? I've read all over the internet that battery side leads over 12 inches is a no no without added some capacitors inline. I think I'm safe doing it, but wanted your opinions/advice first. I'd rather cut the shrink wrap off and make it one solid piece instead of two smaller lengths therefore adding however little resistance.
