Teco I'm also using 770KV motors and I recommend this esc:

http://www.altitudehobbies.com/maytech-eagle-multi-series-30a-multicopter-esc-opto-simonk-1?search=esc

I also don't want to mess with programming esc's. They're optos. My quad using those esc's w/ SimonK responds instantly and smoothly. Throttle control is smooth and precise. Website says they're out of stock. There's probably a good reason for that. Wait for 'em

Someone wrote that those Maytechs are just rebranded Chinese units. Maybe, but I got them in 3 days. Mine are 40 amp. That shop doesn't list those anymore.

I saw that video before. That's exactly the kind of programming nuisance I wanted to avoid, same as you.

The esc's are pre-flashed with SimonK. They can't be reprogrammed at all. Throttle calibration is still required. Yes. In your DX8 lower the throttle left travel value to -120. Calibrate the esc's and afterward go back into the tx and return the throttle travel to 100. Another forum member right here taught me how to do it. Installs same as the stock DJI optos. No fussing with needing a different bec. Plug & Play.

I went back to that website and found that the 40 amp SimonK Opto is back in stock. While there I wrote a review. It awaits webmaster approval. I would snap that esc up. Altitude Hobbies gave me good service.

It's the same esc you saw at mikrokopter.

Best, Rob
