Hi all, thought some of you might be interested to see this short video of the reason I will never use DJI stock props again!
I've spent the last few weeks building a F550 with WKM FC. I've fitted the Aeroxcraft landing gear and go pro gimbal, eventually it'll have a gopro 2 and stinger 250mw TXing to a yellow jacket and lilliput monitor for FPV and aerial filming.
My plan has always to be to fit Graupner 10" props, but I thought for my first few flights, I would fly with the standard DJI props, just in case of any dodgy settings which might cause mishaps.
This was to be my forth test flight, to test the RTH function, having completed 3 previous short flights this weekend, quite relaxed in nature, testing Atti, GPS and manual modes as well as tweaking the autopilot gain settings.
As you'll see, the Hexa gets about 2 feet from the ground prop 5 before fails in a rather dramatic way, the craft flips and hits the deck at which point (I think) prop 6 also broke.
The alarm you can hear in the background is a car alarm from nearby car park. It was a frosty morning, hence the white grass!
No damage other than the two props, Graupner props now fitted, ready for the RTH test tomorrow morning.
