Yes it is pretty cool. 10k range for control and 5k for video link. I think those ranges are for the 900mHz. It should be lower for the 2.4gHz but still impressive. I am interested in how it does as a Tx compared to the Graupner MX series or JR/Spektrum. I know that Sidney has posted his favorite Tx is his JR9503. I would hope that it at least matches that performance or approached the MX for smoothness and control.
I just hope they keep it as an open platform instead of forcing you to use it only with other DJI equipment. That seems to be a popular business model lately that is good for the bottom line, but bad for consumers.
Ed, do you have any idea of price range? Also, was wondering if this is going to have a video out on it for goggles/second monitor.
I don't have any more info that what is posted on the page you posted. My guess is that it will not be an open platform but meant for DJI products only just as the Zenmus connects to the can bus for additional sensor input. I have Data Link and Click and Go. I do not need my transmitter to control the WKM. I can use a joystick or the keypad to fly it. It has auto take off and land, single waypoints or just fly it using the arrow keys. I don't know about price, but my guess if you have to have Data Link to use it, it will be pretty pricy especially with the video screen. I don't know either about the video out. It would be nice to have the capability to record the onboard video or to have goggles for FPV. NAB is the 16-19th so I guess we will know then.
