Just noticed Ground Station Software update on their site.

I don't know what they've changed but I can now get it to work on my new windows 8 machine. Just got to field test it now.

Google map would not would load fully but I did get it to work by resetting my computer to factory fresh.

Just updated mine and seems to be working fine.. Not flown it yet though!!

Mine worked when I did it a home but when I went to fly the map did not load it works now.

What setup is required to use this? I mean, can you use it with an F450, Naza and GPS or do you need the upper WK model setup?

aWanderer, the ground station / waypoint feature is currently limited to the Wookong, and also requires a datalink module (900MGz or 2.4GHz). And yes, an F450 would work.

The difference seems to be that you can't do waypoints near Tianamen Square.

It should be here:

but at present there is no active link (zip file). Not sure why the sw is preceded by '@' as this is convention is usually for firmware references for which there is never a link because firmware files are downloaded directly by the appropriate Assistant software. Since the file date is 6-SEP-2013, DJI may just not have it loaded yet or there is a configuration mistake in the webpage. Suggest checking back there later...

Does this 900mhz link cause any problems with 5.4gig if also running FPV.

Bengit, you're right. People tend to think the lack of understanding or experience is license to blame others. Happens way too much on forums.

Looks like 4.0.9 has now been released, however my GCS isn't seeing the update and not downloading anything.

Ah, I think I have to try and install again from the CD, despite the program having an update feature.
