This thread is great as I want an inexpensive first build and the spreadsheet provided looks perfect for my needs.
The flight times discussed here, 10 minutes and so on. Is there a battery option for more cost that would extend flight times, or is this realistically the best possible with a multi rotor of this size?
I want a high quality stills option so I've been looking at the Sony QX30 as I have programming knowledge and think this would weigh something similar to a go pro, but give a 20Mp quality still image. Not sure exactly what is possible programming the QX30 but I'm thinking of controlling it from something like an Edison board that has the WiFi connectivity potential to the camera.
