DJI 2212 Propeller question 8”, 9” or 10” with 4S

Hi,

Does anyone has already some longer experience with 10”x5 Graupner in combination with 4S. I have read many threads in different forums were folks either told not to use 10” props with 4S (like printed on the motors) some others write you can use them and motor as well as OPTI ESC can handle this proper. All my LIPO’s for other MR’s are 4S so I like to stick with 4S. Graupner E-Props are now available in 8”,9” and 10” as well as revers “L” version, so wondering if 9” is a winning/better combination with 4S LIPO’s. Any experience out there you can share with me?

Thx and Rgds

Formerly DJIUSA
9" would not be a bad prop to try.
On the F550 I like the 8" for sport flying and the 10" if carrying a payload on 4s.

I read all the same posts saying if using 3s then use a 10" and 4s use a 8".
I got mine from John Wood at Addictive RC and he said to just use 10" on the 4s.
My F550 leaded is over 4.5 pounds and I only cruise around slowly and the 10" work totally fine for me. I haven't tried 8" and don't really plan on it.
I'll be getting the Graupner 10" props soon.
With just the F550 not loaded up it hovered at 50% throttle, now all loaded up it hovers over mid stick, about 60% or so. Don't know if that's normal or not but it seems to fly great.
