Corn Maze Aerial

One of my real estate clients had a strange request this week, and it turned out to be a ton of fun. He has a church group that builds a corn maze for local children for the last 2 years now. This year is the 200th anniversary of the war of 1812 here in Baltimore, so the maze was in honor of that event. That is when we had our national anthem penned just outside of Fort McHenry, which starts out as "Oh Say Can you See...". In the maze you can see the opening line of the anthem as well as the 5 point star shape of the fort, an American flag and a few cannons.

I shot it with a GoPro so I could take advantage of the super wide angle. At first I tried the Cannon s90, but I couldn't get the correct position to make it work.

It's pretty cool how they make it. They use a GPS guided lawn mower that has the pattern programmed in and runs autonomously.

Sweet! Just called our local orchard to see if they have completed theirs, would be cool to get some action as it's being cut.

Kind of ironic since maize means corn in spanish.
