NEW FINANCIAL INVESTOR FOR PHOTOHIGHER
rule.png

Dear Bart,

I am pleased to be able to let you know that Photohigher has recently secured the financial backing of NZ Think Limited, a private New Zealand Investment company. As you are aware we have faced some serious development hurdles with the commercialisation of our Halo products. NZ Think's support means we are moving ahead in leaps and bounds so that we can deliver our world class Halo Gimbals to you by the end of May.

The directors and owners of NZ Think are extremely well regarded in the New Zealand business community, and have significant experience in the commercialisation of new technology. In the four weeks that they have been involved we have been able to get our management and tech team strongly resourced so that they can continue to focus on producing world class products that we think you're going to love.

On behalf of the whole team at Photohigher I would like to thankyou for your patience while we have worked through some very difficult obstacles, we are all working extremely hard to get the awesome new products in your hands as soon as we possibly can.

AV200 and AV130 Gimbals and Brush-less Kits
The brush-less conversion kits for the AV200 have been very effective and we have received great feedback from those that have purchased them. We have recently changed the motors as Tiger Motors have stopped making the 4106 and 4006 models. Theses have been replaced with the GB 36 and GB 54. The GB 36 is a direct replacement for the 4106 and works well with the indirect drive on the tilt and roll axis. The GB 54 direct drive is being utilised in the pan axis, it comes with a 12mm hole through the centre, meaning it works very effectively with our current 360 set up. The main pan shaft goes through the centre of the GB 54 reducing the risk of the motors carrying the full weight of the gimbal and camera.

We now also offer the option to use the GB 54 as a direct drive conversion on the tilt axes. This makes a significant improvement to the stabilisation of the current AV models.

We have had great feedback on the G-Lock stabilisation system manufactured by CARVEC in the UK. The system is based on the Radian which can be used to stabilise either a servo driven gimbal or brush-less gimbals - check them out here. http://www.carvecsystem.co.uk/g-lock

Can we place bets on the amount of forum pages the next product will gather? :)

Though I will say that halo is the sexiest looking gimbal out there.
