Case Build for DJI F550

[Search49]

One of the things that I recently noticed was that finding a case / box to transport a F550 was damn near impossible to find. So After searching for the last few months here's what I came. My total cost was $63.23 plus about 8 hours in time. I found a source for slightly used cases, this case cost me $26.44 and found a bunch of foam at a factory dump. (They make beds) I purchased a hot wire cutter for 34.95 at Hobby Lobby and a few other supplies. I could have made a hot wire cutter, but was to lazy.

This was my first attempt, getting on the road in two days, so it was a bit rushed. The top section is not as clean as I would like it, but when I get back I'll re-do the top.

That looks fantastic. As with all case searches, my non removable (not easily anyway) aeroxcraft landing gear makes this one unsuitable! I'm after something a bit deeper so I can put the f550 in with legs attached and then slide accessories in vertically next to it.. The hunt continues..
