Can someone help me with a question about E-Calc

I selected model weight without drive and then entered the parameters using the nearest components to those I plan to use. Once I get the results I see in the bottom r/h side "Drive Weight" and it says 3983 Grams and then a line that says all up weight 8682 Grams which sound about right but then there is another line that says "add payload" with a value of 4614 Grams. What is this ??? does the whole Calc add 8682 and 4614 to work out the performance, or am I missing something, where does this number come from???

I would approach it differently. Check on the weight of the components you are planing on using and calculate the overall weight of the bird. So enter the grams inkl. drive ! If you go with not inkl drive than Ecalc adds the compoents like lipo motors ecs to the overall weight etc.

Can you show all the variables you used ? 77A you running 6s ? seems high !

Hi I used the values without drive and just selected nearest (available) selections rather than custom values. I was not so concerned with the performance readings as they are only approximate components (bar the Motors) I just don't understand where the calc got the "add payload" figure and what it actually represents. Thanks for the thread links I will read through this and see what else I can learn.View attachment 12377

Ah Ha now I got it...add Payload=: maximum additional payload to hover with 100% Throttle (according to the publisher) thanks for the lead Chris....
