Camera quick release

I have a Gaui 500x which I'll be using for 3 main tasks:
  1. FPV flight
  2. Aerial photography with an Alware 2-axis camera gimbal
  3. Panoramic aerial photography with the Photoship One Penta Array
Currently, each time I want to switch between 'modes' I have to unscrew the gimbal or the penta array or whatever it is that's attached and screw on the attachment I want to use. It's hardly a huge hassle, I know, but I'd like to streamline the switchover and am looking at developing a quick-release clip-on system that works with all 3 attachments.

Does anyone have any experience with this sort of attachment system who could offer me some advice in terms of what clips/fasteners might be best for the job? I'm currently thinking of using quarter-turn rack-mount fasteners, but I'm interested to know what other people have tried and if there's a better solution.

Whatever the fastener is, it needs to attach two plates together that lie flush. i.e.. The base of the copter at the moment is a flat carbon plate that forms the base of the battery compartment, the top attachment plates of the 3 camera systems will then sit flush with this.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Felix.
