I too am looking for a decent transport solution...I like the mil spec stuff! Wondering if anyone else has other solutions since this thread is a few months old? Anyone...anyone...Beuller?

Here is a box that was made for my last Octo Heavy lift. The copter goes in one box, while the cam gimbal and support equip goes into another. Box was made by Inner Space Cases in Burbank Ca. Cost was right at $840, and it is 102" in girth (which makes it able to be put onto a plane).
