Big Eyes in SoCal

Hey, I'm also new to the forum. And also from SoCal...west LA specifically. I've been learning to fly (and build and rebuild) a LaTrax Alias. I'm keen to eventually build a small camera drone - FPV and for photos and video.

I just purchased an FrSky Taranis and I've ordered parts for a Micro-H from Micro Motors Warehouse to build something fun to familiarize myself with the controller...

and I'm waiting for this to come back in stock:

I still need to figure out which propellers and then I want to figure out an LED set up...

I'm familiar with RC cars & trucks and trainer planes for years...looking forward to this next obsession.

I also race cars (the 1:1 kine) but the handle actually comes from a movie most youngsters haven't seen:

So my tongue is mostly in my cheek :)

Truly, flying the quad is SUPER hard, way harder than I imagined, because there is no tail fin or keel or tire traction to keep it going in any one direction...you can rotate 360 and still be flying in the same direction...I'm looking forward to trying FPV to see if I can control it better.
