Battery advice?

I want to extend my flight time so will be ordering a 5000mAh 3S or two instead of my 3200mAh. I wanted to know the ups and downs of using a pair of batteries in series? I have a stock DJI550 that I have added some landing legs and a GoPro2 to, I just would like to get a little more time in the air per charge. Thanks

your increase in flight time with 2x 5ah lipos's might be negligible due to the .5 - .75 kg increase in weight. easiest way to get more flight time is to go with a lighter frame, smaller motors, (2212 or smaller)
i have a clone f450 frame with 2212 1400kv rc timers, and it gets 16-18min of flight time off a 5ah 3s.

You mean "parallel" not "series". Two 5000mAh 3S in series would give you a 5000mAh 6S. Two in parallel makes a 10000mAh 3S.
