Avroto Motors, user opinions ?

Looking to upgrade to 'decent' motors for my X4 and looking at potential motors for a proposed X8 build when the new 'wonderboard' is released ?

I can't stretch to 8 AXI's without selling some vital organ, so was thinking of the Avroto's who claim these are suitable for professional AV.

I am open to suggestions on alternatives ?

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
I exchanged emails last week with Jim from Monto RC and he's got a lot of work in those motors. From what I understand he'll even put some of the components up against those in Axi motors. The motor housing is a stock housing but the components were spec'd by him and he's pretty confident in what he's selling. From his email,

Of several hundred Avroto standard shaft, and short shaft 2814 sold since February we've never had one arrive defective, fail in use, or be returned.

The Pulso motors are going through a name change so look for them to be marketed under the "Cobra" name. I think either motor will be a worthwhile substitute for MK's and Axi's. Not necessarily better but a lot of motor for the money.
