Anyone tried Hyperlapse from a heli?

I am assuming this tech is available for other cameras other than mobile phones. I was playing around with the app and it's quite impressive. I dont think we are going to need stabilizers much in the future with higher res, frame rates and this kind of post stab. The future is here! Now let's get China to stop making poisonous chop sticks and we can all get along.

Boy oh boy.... That's really neat how they do that with the stiching and rendering but I'm betting that takes a butt load of processor power! Still, who thinks this stuff up and is then capable of putting it together and making it run? It's beyond my IQ for sure...

Instagram vs. Microsoft - Hyperlapse

The iphone app works very fast. but one think I bet it does is degrade the footage a little.

The Hyperlapse from Instagram is a bit different than the Microsoft video at the beginningof this thread. It is explained (surprisingly simply) by the Microsoft Tech writer: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/hyperlapse/igcomp/

This is some neat stuff and I wonder if it is related to this thread started by @SleppyC; http://www.multirotorforums.com/sho...st-got-a-HUGE-help-could-be-the-perfect-video! There is so much happening in the camera stabilization arena currently that we are buying devices and components that are bound to be outdated in a few months. Though in all fairness bring this around to the topic at hand - hyperlapse is a different display tool.

Good find Yuri!
