Yeah I posted this under the DJI general discussion by mistake. Regardless of if you think their motives are good or not I dont think it paints a positive light towards MR flying and ownership.

Agreed, the number of (apparent ) CASA violations + the whole "eyes in the sky" makes the whole thing even more worrying.

I'm predicting a large upcoming market for Tx jamming devices. I'd love to see the operator of this particular copter have to land on the property he is photographing. That should put an end to his use of multirotors.

So does anyone want to guess what a domestic microwave with a faulty door switch might do to the control link of a UAV?
