Alternative model locators

it's "long grass" season at my field, and after a 30 minute search to find a slightly flipped quad, I realise a model locator would be very useful. I've seen this one, which initially looked perfect:

But it's reviewed very poorly.

What alternatives are there, that will work with Spektrum and FrSky rx units?

The high altitude balloon and HPR hobbies, i.e., High Power Rocketry have been using several products from BigRedBee for years now with tremendous success. These are available in a wide range of frequencies including 900Mhz ss as well as 70cm in the HAM radio freq band. Most have range in excess of 20 miles. Don't let the low quality webpage fool you.
